Kaitlyn Yanish Named as Regular Season All-American

CORVALLIS, Ore. – Oregon State freshman gymnast Kaitlyn Yanish has been named a 2018 Regular Season All-American by the National Association of Collegiate Gymnastics Coaches/Women (NACGC/W).

Yanish earned second team honors on the floor exercise after concluding the regular season ranked 16th in the nation with a Regional Qualifying Score (RQS) of 9.920. The rookie from Chandler, Ariz. has recorded scores of 9.90 or higher six times in 2018 and has won six individual titles on the event.

This is the sixth year the NACGC/W has presented regular season All-America awards. The top eight gymnasts on each event and in the all-around ranked by RQS earn first team honors. The next eight (9-16) on each event and the all-around receive second team honors.

Yanish's Regular Season All-America honor is the 11th its six years of existence.

Oregon State, ranked 14th in the nation, travels to Raleigh, N.C. next week to compete at NCAA Regional Championships hosted by NC State, next Saturday, April 7 at 1 p.m. PT.
