Oregon State Set to Conclude Regular Season at Husky Classic

CORVALLIS, Ore. – This weekend, the Oregon State track and field team concludes its indoor regular season at the Husky Classic in Seattle at the Dempsey Indoor Center.
Beginning Friday and ending on Saturday, the Husky Classic is the third of four events comprising the Beavers schedule.
The Beavers making the trek to Seattle have all acquired competition experience this season. It's a group that has found plenty of success so far having posted over 20 all-time indoor marks.
Gillette Field is back in action in the pole vault this weekend, after having set the Oregon State school record her last time out. Field broke her previously held pole vault record with a clear of 12-feet 10.75-inches on the second day of the UW Invitational.
Sophomore Marin Zaccheo will participate in the 60 meters. Earlier this season she cracked OSU's all-time list with an 8.15-second effort at the UW Indoor Preview.
The Beavers are entering three runners into the 3,000 meters, all of which are in the top-10 in Oregon State history. Holly Cavalluzzo ranks fifth, Brigette Takeuchi ranks eighth, and Colette Richter ranks 10th.

Oregon State is idle next weekend as they prepare for one last trip to Seattle. On Feb. 23-24 the Beavers conclude the indoor season at the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation championships at the Dempsey Indoor center.
