Brown (Happy Valley, Ore.) played club soccer for Crossfire United. She was part of the state ODP travel team for four years, as well as a three-year regional camp participant. Brown helped lead her team to a 2012 State Cup. A member of the National Honor Society, Brown played three seasons at Clackamas High School, serving as team captain for two of those seasons. In addition to her club and high school experience, Brown also competed at the US Youth National Training Center.
"Helena is a midfielder or a winger," Rhode said. "She is very fast and tricky on the dribble. She will give us options in the wide positions."
