Oregon State slated to host postgame haircuts
CORVALLIS – The Beavers will host their annual Dam Cancer game Sunday afternoon, as California visits Gill Coliseum for a 1 p.m. tip.
Â
As part of the game's festivities, fans are invited to join in an Oregon State tradition by coming to the floor to have their hair cut for donation postgame. Following in the footsteps of former Beavers Ruth Hamblin and Sydney Wiese will be head coach Scott Rueck's daughter Kate, who will be donating her hair as part of the postgame ceremony.
Â
If you plan to donate your hair and need tickets to the game, you can RSVP by emailing sports.marketing@oregonstate.edu. Please note that hair must be at least eight inches long and uncolored to be eligible for donation.
Â
In addition to the postgame haircutting ceremony, the Beavers will be wearing their pink #DamCancer uniforms for the game. The team will host a silent auction in the lobby of Gill beginning at Friday's game vs. Stanford, as fans are encouraged to bid on the shooting shirts the squad will wear for warm-ups. Bidding will end at halftime of Sunday's game vs. Cal, and winners will be announced during the eight-minute mingle. All proceeds will benefit Corvallis Clinic's Project H.E.R.
