Four Beavers Honored By Pac-12
December 04, 2018 | Football
SAN FRANCISCO – Andre Bodden, Trevon Bradford, Isaiah Hodgins and Jermar Jefferson were all named Pac-12 Conference honorable mention on Tuesday. The league announced its all-conference teams as voted on by the Pac-12's coaches.
All four received their first career honors, and for Bodden (accountancy) and Hodgins (communications), the recognition comes a day after they were selected all-academic honorable mention.
Bodden, a redshirt junior from Carson, Calif., was selected for his play on special teams. He blocked a punt and recovered it versus Washington, and also tallied four tackles on the year, including two versus Washington State.
Bradford, a junior wide receiver from Oregon City, Ore., caught 56 passes in 2018, totaling at least two in every game and finishing with a career-best 10 against USC on Nov. 3. He tallied 649 receiving yards and six touchdowns, adding 12 rushing attempts for 136 yards.
Hodgins, a sophomore wide receiver from Oakley, Calif., led the Beavers with 59 receptions for 876 yards. He caught five touchdowns, including two apiece at Nevada and at Colorado. Hodgins tallied 100 or more yards four times, including 200 at Nevada, the 10th-most ever by an Oregon State player. His 14 receptions that game tied the Oregon State single-game record.
Jefferson, a running back from Harbor City, Calif., broke the Oregon State single-season rushing record by a true freshman with 1,380 yards, which currently ranks eighth nationally. He topped 100 yards in a game seven times and scored 12 touchdowns. Jefferson owns two of the top five single-game performances by an OSU running back after rushing for 238 yards versus Southern Utah and then 254 at Arizona State.
