Beavers To Face Cowboys In Saturday Matinee

THE GAME: Oregon State (1-0) will host the Wyoming Cowboys (0-1) at noon on Saturday at Gill Coliseum in its second of two home games to open the season.
TELEVISION: The game will be televised on Pac-12 Oregon with Rich Burk and Steve Lavin calling the action.

TICKETS: Fans can secure men's basketball season tickets by calling 541-737-2050. For returning ticket holders, season tickets will be $349 for chair back and $199 for bench seats as part of the "Committ2Wayne" plan. All new chair back season tickets will be $384 and new bench season tickets will be $219.
Dam City Classic tickets will be included for all Oregon State men's basketball season ticket holders, giving fans a total of 17 games to watch in Corvallis and Portland during the 2018-19 season.
QUICKLY: Oregon State had 13 assists and only one turnover in the second half against UC Riverside ... Oregon State starters scored 68 of the team's 72 points in the season opener ... The teams first played at the NCAA West Regional in Kansas City, Mo., on March 22, 1946, which the Beavers won, 63-46. They played two times in Corvallis in 1948 with Oregon State winning 55-50 on Dec. 20 and Wyoming pulling out a 53-52 overtime thriller on Dec. 21. The teams played twice again in Corvallis in 1955 and split with the Beavers winning 53-46 on Dec. 9 and the Cowboys getting revenge with a 52-51 victory on Dec. 10.
Oregon State won the next five meetings: 68-65 on Dec. 1, 1956 in Laramie; 81-56 on Dec. 29, 1972 at the Far West Classic in Portland; 79-69 on Dec. 5, 1977 in Corvallis; 71-56 on Nov. 27, 1978 in Laramie; and 83-77 on Dec. 20, 1999 in Corvallis.
Wyoming won the last two meetings, 65-53, on Dec. 16, 2000 in a game that was played in Casper, Wyo., and 75-66 last Nov. 13 in Corvallis. Tres Tinkle posted a double-double in the most recent loss with 20 points and 14 rebounds.
