Beavers Set For Tuesday’s Season Opener

THE GAME: Oregon State opens its 2018-19 regular season at 6 p.m. on Tuesday against UC Riverside at Gill Coliseum.
TELEVISION: The game will be televised on Pac-12 Oregon with Rich Burk and Eldridge Recasner calling the action.

TICKETS: Fans can secure men's basketball season tickets by calling 541-737-2050. For returning ticket holders, season tickets will be $349 for chair back and $199 for bench seats as part of the "Committ2Wayne" plan. All new chair back season tickets will be $384 and new bench season tickets will be $219.
Dam City Classic tickets will be included for all Oregon State men's basketball season ticket holders, giving fans a total of 17 games to watch in Corvallis and Portland during the 2018-19 season.

vs. UC RIVERSIDE: Oregon State and UC Riverside meet for the second time in history. The Highlanders won the first matchup, 67-63, on Dec. 9, 2000 at Gill Coliseum in Corvallis.
Josh Steinthal came off the bench to lead the Beavers with 15 points, while Jason Heide and Deaundra Tanner scored 14 apiece. Brian Jackson added seven points, four assists and four steals. Vili Morton, Aaron Hands and Mark Miller led a balanced UC Riverside attack with 11 points each.
David Patrick is in his first year at the helm of the UC Riverside men's basketball program after previous stops as an assistant coach at TCU and LSU. Last season he helped lead the Horned Frogs to a 21-12 record and their first trip to the NCAA Tournament in 20 years.
UC Riverside went 9-22 overall last season and 4-12 in the Big West Conference.
EXHIBITION GAME: Stephen Thompson Jr. and Tres Tinkle scored 20 points apiece to lead Oregon State to a 103-51 exhibition win over Montana Tech on Saturday, Oct. 27 at Gill Coliseum.
The Beavers used a 20-0 run to pull away in the second half and outscored the Orediggers 55-17 in the frame. Oregon State shot 65.5 percent from the field, 41.2 percent from beyond the arc and 68.6 percent from the stripe.
Four other players joined Thompson Jr. and Tinkle in double figures. Ethan Thompson had 15 points, while Alfred Hollins and Zach Reichle added 11 each and Kylor Kelley chipped in 10.
