
Tchilao Named College Soccer News National Player of the Week

Oregon State senior scored a pair of game-winning goals on the week
CORVALLIS – Oregon State senior Don Tchilao received major recognition Monday, as he was named College Soccer News National Player of the Week.
Tchilao scored the game-winning goal in both of Oregon State's victories this week, finding the net in the first half vs. San Diego State and providing an overtime winner in Sunday's 4-3 thriller over UCLA. The forward also tallied a pair of assists against the Bruins.
Overall, Tchilao has seven goals and seven assists on the season, placing him second in the Pac-12 in points with 21. The senior speech communication major was an All-Pac-12 Preseason selection this year, and was honored as Pac-12 Player of the Week on Sept. 4. He has started all 17 matches this season, playing a total of 1,552 minutes.
As a team, Oregon State currently sits atop the Pac-12 standings with 19 points. The Beavers have an overall record of 10-4-3, and are 6-2-1 in conference play. OSU broke into the Top Drawer Soccer rankings this week, coming in at No. 25. The Beavers are unbeaten in their last six matches and have not lost a home game since Aug. 28.
Oregon State will close out the regular season on Nov. 9 when they head north for a matchup with Washington.
