Beavers Sweep Weekly Honors

CORVALLIS – The Oregon State men's soccer team swept the West Coast Conference honors this week, the conference office announced Monday. Arnau Farnos was selected as Offensive Player of the Week, while John Nicolson was chosen as Defensive Player of the Week.
Farnos scored the first two goals in Oregon State's 6-0 demolition of Santa Clara on Sunday afternoon. The senior leads the WCC in both goals and points this season, and is among the top-10 in program history for season goals, career goals and career points. This is Farnos' third Offensive Player of the Week honor this season.
Nicolson held a clean sheet in the Oregon State net against the Broncos, making multiple impressive saves in the win. The goalkeeper also recorded his second assist of the year, playing a ball over the top to set up Iker Carbonell Garcia's 70th minute goal.
As a team, Oregon State sits first in the WCC with two conference games remaining.
Oregon State will host Senior Day on Wednesday when UTRGV visits Lorenz Field.
