Thank You OSU - Kate Evans
October 27, 2018 | Women's Soccer
This coming Sunday against Arizona State will mark the last home game for five women's soccer student-athletes. Oregon State will honor them prior to the start of the match, but before they are honored, each one will take a moment to express how they are thankful for their time here at Oregon State. Lastly, Kate Evans:
"Dear OSU,
I wish I had more time! Two years have flown by, but I could not be happier that I chose to spend my final two years of college at Oregon State. Transferring is never an easy decision, but coming to OSU has been a smooth transition, mostly thanks to my teammates. You guys are incredible. You have welcomed me into the team and become a second family who continually make fun of my accent, but I'll forgive you because of the amount of love, belief and support you have shown me. I could not have done it without you all. Thank you for being the ones to put a smile on my face every day!
Thank you to my coaches for giving me the opportunity to be a Beaver. I have learned valuable lessons on and off the soccer field and had so much fun playing in the Pac-12.
Thank you to our athletic trainer, Katie Homan, for looking after me and showing me what it means to be dedicated.
Thank you to all my academic advisors for making it possible for me to graduate on time with a degree I am truly passionate about and hope to continue to study after graduation.
Lastly, thank you to my parents for continuing to support me and encouraging me to be the best version of myself. Your love and support will continue to inspire me!
Thank you, OSU, for an unforgettable experience – Go Beavs!"
Oregon State will face Arizona State at Paul Lorenz Field on Sunday at 11 a.m. for Senior Day.
