Thank You OSU - Jessi Witherington
October 27, 2018 | Women's Soccer
This coming Sunday against Arizona State will mark the last home game for five women's soccer student-athletes. Oregon State will honor them prior to the start of the match, but before they are honored, each one will take a moment to express how they are thankful for their time here at Oregon State. Up next, Jessi Witherington:
"Dear OSU,
My time here has been full of learning lessons and opportunities to gain attributes I did not know I had. I have had many people that help me out along the way, and I may never be able to truly express to them how thankful I am for teaching me characteristics like patience, professionalism and how to be a good leader.
I have to say thank you to my coaches and the rest of the Oregon State staff for giving me this opportunity and helping me grow as a person along the way.
Thank you to my teammates and my friends who were constant supporters when things were both good and bad. They were the people that kept me going when I questioned myself as an athlete and an individual. Without them I don't think I would have made it this far.
Thank you to my parents and the rest of my family for helping me reach OSU, supporting me through this journey, and constantly pushing me to keep going.
Thank you Beaver Nation for supporting the team and individuals within it.
This journey has been amazing, so thank you, OSU."
Oregon State will face Arizona State at Paul Lorenz Field on Sunday at 11 a.m. for Senior Day.
