Thank You OSU - Jada Krening
October 24, 2018 | Women's Soccer
This coming Sunday against Arizona State will mark the last home game for five women's soccer student-athletes. Oregon State will honor them prior to the start of the match, but before they are honored, each one will take a moment to express how they are thankful for their time at Oregon State. Up first, Jada Krening:
"Dear OSU,
Although my college soccer career didn't necessarily go as I planned when I initially decided to attend Oregon State due to injury, I'd like to thank all of my coaches, athletic trainers, and doctors for helping me through the rehab process and supporting my efforts to come back and one day play again. I'd like to thank our Athletic Trainer, Katie Homan, specifically, for being there for me every step of the way.
Thank you to my professors and advisors, and all the people who have helped me excel academically during my time at Oregon State. Their support has allowed me to accomplish my academic goals, and has encouraged me to continue my education after OSU. I'd also like to thank Beaver Nation as a whole, and the amazing opportunities and resources the school has provided me as a student-athlete. It has been a unique experience which I will treasure forever and never forget.
Next, I'd like to thank my teammates, who have been my family here in Corvallis. They have been there for me through the ups, the downs, and everything in-between over these last few years. I love them all, and I could not have done it without them.
Lastly, I'd like to thank my parents, who continually support me through all my endeavors, and who have pushed me to be the very best person I can be. I owe it all to them.
Thank you OSU -- Go Beavs!"
Oregon State is back in action on Thursday at 7 p.m. against Arizona at Paul Lorenz Field before taking on Arizona State on Sunday at 11 a.m. for Senior Day.
