Volleyball Set to Visit Utah, Colorado

ON TAP
• Oregon State completes a four-match road stretch this week at Utah and Colorado.
• OSU (10-8, 0-6 Pac-12) travles to Utah (9-8, 1-5) in search of its first Pac-12 win of the season. The Beavers and Utes will square off at 6 p.m. PST at the Huntsman Center.
• The Beavers then travel to Boulder to take on Colorado (10-7, 2-4) at the CU Events Center on Sunday at 1 p.m. PST.
TELEVISION & LIVE VIDEO
• Thursday's match at Utah will stream live and can be found by visiting the volleyball schedule page at osubeavers.com.
• Saturday's match at Colorado will be broadcast on Pac-12 Mountain.

AGAINST THE UTES
• OSU leads the all-time series 11-10. The Beavers and Utes split in 2017 with Oregon State winning in four sets in Corvallis.
AGAINST THE BUFFALOES
• The Beavers trail the series with the Buffaloes 4-9. OSU's last win over CU came in five-sets in Corvallis in 2016.
OFF THE SIDELINE
• Sophomore opposite hitter Haylie Bennett returned to the lineup Saturday at UCLA (10/6) after missing the previous four matches due to an injury in the match at Oregon (9/20).
AHEAD OF THE PAC
• The Beavers rank second in the Pac-12 and 17th in the nation with 2.74 blocks per set in 2018. Middle blocker Lindsey Schell ranks eighth in the conference with 1.18 blocks per set. In addition, Maddy Gravley (1.17) is ninth, Serena Bruin (1.00) and Haylie Bennett (1.00) all average at least a block per set.
• Libero Grace Massey ranks fourth in the Pac-12 with 4.68 digs per set. She has led the Beavers in digs in 16 out of 18 matches in 2018.
• Defensive specialist Kayla Ellis is second in the league with 0.48 aces per set (10 total) since Pac-12 Conference play began three weeks ago.
HALL OF FAME
• Next weekend, the 1969-70 and 1970-71 Oregon State volleyball will be inducted into the Oregon State Hall of Fame.
• The 1969-70 team captured the Pacific Northwest Trophy and won their first 21 matches. The team finished 23-3 making it to the "Sweet 16."
• The 1970-71 team gained momentum at the end the of the season and advanced to the "Elite Eight" going 5-1 in the postseason for an overall mark of 22-8.
• The Hall of Fame induction ceremony will be held Friday, Oct. 19.
ACES
• Sophomore libero Grace Massey was named Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Week following the opening week of the season. Massey accumulated a conference-high 65 digs at the Iowa State Challenge and was named as a tournament co-MVP.
• Freshman setter Maddie Sheehan was named as the Pac-12 Freshman of the Week following the SDSU/USD Challenge. Sheehan tied her career-high with 44 assists and added career-bests with six kills and five blocks in a win over No. 23 San Diego.
• Senior Kayla Ellis once again moved up OSU's all-time rankings to fourth with 1,333 career digs. She remains within striking distance of third (Tricia Becker, 1,483) late in the season.
ON THE SIDELINE
• Senior Kory Cheshire is out for the season due to an undisclosed injury.
• Senior outside hitter Shekinah Clarke will miss the remainder of the season due to a knee injury.
• Both will apply for another year of eligibility and intend to return to the program in 2019.
ALL-TOURNAMENT TEAMS
• SDSU/USD Challenge - Amy Underdown was chosen as the MVP after leading the team in kills in each match as the Beavers went 3-0 including a five-set upset of No. 23 San Diego. Maddy Gravley was also named to the all-tournament team.
• K-State Invitational - Haylie Bennett and Maddie Sheehan were named to the all-tournament team.
• Iowa State Challenge - Maddie Goings and Lindsey Schell were each named to the Iowa State Challenge All-Tournament Team and Grace Massey was selected as a tournament co-MVP on the season's opening weekend.
