Field Sets School Record at UW Invitational

SEATTLE, Wash. – Highlighted by Gillette Fields record-setting performance in the pole vault, the Oregon State track & field team wrapped up competition at the multi-day UW Invitational at the Dempsey Indoor Center.
"It was a good day," began head coach Louie Quintana. "We are learning to be resilient and keep our expectations high."
Junior pole vaulter Field made Oregon State history on day two in Seattle. The Granite Bay, Calif. native cleared 12-feet 10.75-inches on her first attempt setting the OSU record. She broke her own previously held top mark of 12-feet 6.25-inches.
In total seven new top-10 marks were set on the second day of competition at Dempsey Indoor Center.
Redshirt sophomore Ann Wingeleth placed fourth in the long jump, setting the second-best all-time mark in Oregon State history. Wingeleth jumped 19-feet 0.75-inches, just two and a half inches short of tying the school record. Wingeleth had a jump of 38-feet 0.75-inches in the triple jump setting the No. 5 all-time mark.

- Sydney Guthrie-Baker, broke her own previously held sixth-best throw, who threw 41-8.75 in the shot put.
