
Three Beavers Are Super Bowl Bound

Cooks, Seumalo and Andrews are all headed to their first Super Bowl
CORVALLIS, Ore. – Wide receiver Brandin Cooks and offensive linemen Isaac Seumalo and Josh Andrews are headed to Minneapolis.

The three Beavers advanced to Super Bowl LII when the New England Patriots and Philadelphia Eagles won their respective conference title games on Sunday. The Patriots defeated Jacksonville, 24-20, while the Eagles were 38-7 winners over Minnesota.

Cooks, who played at Oregon State from 2011-13, caught six passes for 100 yards in the win. He caught 65 passes for 1,082 yards during the regular season. The 2013 Biletnikoff Award winner is playing in his first Super Bowl.

Seumalo and Andrews will both be playing in their first career Super Bowls as well. Seumalo played for Oregon State from 2012 to 2015, while Andrews was on the Beavers' offensive line from 2010-13. Seumalo played in 14 regular season games for the Eagles in 2017, starting twice, while Andrews has been on the team's practice squad. He played in 16 games for Philadelphia from 2015-16.

The Super Bowl is set to be held on Sunday, Feb. 4 starting at 3:30 p.m. PT. The game will air live on NBC.

The Sunday prior to the Super Bowl will also highlight a former Beaver as punter Johnny Hekker will play in the 2018 Pro Bowl in Orlando, Fla. The game, on Jan. 28, will start at 12 p.m. PT and air live on ESPN and ABC.
