Beaver swimmers will host intrasquad meet at Osborn Aquatic Center
CORVALLIS, Ore. – Fresh off the first meet of the season, the Oregon State University swimming program will host its annual Orange and Black meet this Friday at the Osborn Aquatic Center.
The Beavers played host to Willamette and SW Oregon CC last week and turned in a dominating performance from start to finish. OSU placed multiple swimmers in the top 10 of every event throughout the meet to open up the 2017 campaign in style in front of a sizable crowd.
"We had a great turnout from the community and from the fans," said head coach Jennifer Buffin. "I think it's great because it add to the atmosphere and the environment, it's something we need to adjust to and we're looking forward to it in the future.
"We love it, since it adds energy to the pool and the races, and for a lot of [the student-athletes on the program] it was a first to have that many people here supporting them."
The intrasquad meet will take place at 5:30 p.m. PT on Friday, September 29.
