Beavers Conclude Play At Pac-12 Championship

BOULDER, Colo. – The 2017 Pac-12 Men's Golf Championship was shortened to 54 holes and completed on Sunday.

The championship was slated for 72 holes, but Saturday's round was cancelled due to a snowstorm that covered the golf course. The Pac-12 Network will showcase the final round in an hour-long package on Sunday, May 7 at 11 a.m.

The Beavers concluded the 6-count-5 tournament in 11th place with a 69-over 376-376-367--1,119 at the par-70, 7,129-yard Boulder Country Club.

Oregon State will find out on Thursday, May 4 if it will advance to the 2017 NCAA Division I Men's Golf Championships. The announcement will take place at 9 a.m. on Golf Channel and streamed live on the Golf Channel website.

Freshman Kyosuke Hara led the Beavers on the individual leaderboard, finishing in a tie for 31st place with a 10-over 74-72-74--220. He had four birdies over the three rounds and added an eagle on the par-5, 561-yard 12th hole on the opening day.

Junior Jonas Liebich recorded his best finish at the Pac-12 Championship in his three years, a tie for 37th place with a 12-over 78-73-71--222. He finished in a tie for 56th as a freshman and a tie for 68th as a sophomore. The 1-over 71 in the final round included three birdies and four bogeys.

Senior Kevin Murphy, sophomore Trevor Yu and freshman Shawn Lu all finished in a tie for 61st place with an 18-over 228. Murphy posted scores of 75-78-75, while Yu went 77-74-77 and Lu finished with 72-82-74.

Senior Calum Hill had a great final round to move into a tie for 68th place with a 22-over 80-79-73--232.

Oregon (15-over 1,065) won the team title by three strokes over Stanford (18-over 1,068) and the Ducks' Wyndham Clark took medalist honors with a 4-under 206.
