THE GAME: Oregon State will face California in the opening round of the Pac-12 Tournament at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

Pac-12 Tournament Notes: Oregon State is the No. 12 seed and opens the tournament against No. 5-seed California at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday:
- Oregon State was the No. 12 seed one other time, in 2013, and lost to No. 5 Colorado, 74-68, on March 13 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.
- The No. 12 seed is 1-5 against the No. 5 seed (No. 12 USC defeated No. 5 Arizona State, 67-64, on March 11, 2015 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas).
- Oregon State is 9-17 all-time in the Pac-12 Tournament. California is 14-19.
- The Beavers went 1-1 last year in the Pac-12 Tournament as the No. 6 seed. They defeated No. 11-seed Arizona State, 75-66, in the first round on March 9 and lost to No. 3-seed California, 76-68, in the quarterfinals on March 10.
- Before last year, Oregon State's previous five wins in the Pac-12 Tournament came as the lower seed. The Beavers were the No. 9 seed in 2012 and defeated No. 1-seed Washington, 86-84, in the quarterfinals on March 8, which was the biggest upset in tournament history at the time.
- Oregon State is 1-4 all-time against California in the Pac-12 Tournament:
- March 6, 1987: No. 4 California 64, No. 5 Oregon State 57
- March 10, 1989: No. 4 Oregon State 79, No. 4 California 66
- March 13, 2003: No. 3 California 69, No. 6 Oregon State 46
- March 7, 2007: No. 8 California 70, No. 9 Oregon State 51
- March 10, 2016: No. 3 California 76, No. 6 Oregon State 68.
- California won both meetings between the teams this season. The first was 69-58 on Jan. 21 at Gill Coliseum in Corvallis and the second was 76-46 on Feb. 24 at Haas Pavilion in Berkeley.
- Stephen Thompson Jr. averaged 15.5 points in the two games against California this season, while Drew Eubanks averaged 12.5 points and 8.0 rebounds, and Kendal Manuel averaged 11.0 points.
- The Oregon State-California winner will play No. 4-seed Utah at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday in the quarterfinals.
