Wiese Tabbed as AP All-American

Guard selected to the third-team
CORVALLIS, Ore. – Senior Sydney Wiese has earned Associated Press All-America honors, the AP announced Monday morning. Wiese was tabbed as a third-team selection, after earning AP All-America Honorable Mention last season.
Wiese is one of 14 players in conference history to make the All-Pac-12 Coaches Team four times. The senior, who has been named to the watch lists for the Wooden Award, Wade Trophy, Ann Meyers Drysdale Award and Lieberman Award, is the Pac-12's career record holder for 3-pointers. The senior finished her career fifth in Oregon State history in career points, and holds the school record for career assists. Wiese led the Beavers with 15.2 points per game, as is among the top six in the nation in 3-point percentage.
A speech communication major, Wiese is a Senior CLASS Award Finalist, Pac-12 Scholar Athlete of the Year and an Academic All-America selection. The senior has launched her own web series in conjunction with Oregon State gymnast Megan Jimenez, and hopes to go into broadcasting at the conclusion of her playing career. She has also worked extensively in the community, donating her hair in a special Haircuts for Cancer ceremony last week, and participating in a Candlelighters for Cancer fishing trip over the summer.
As a team, Oregon State finished the season 31-5, posting the second-highest win total in program history. The Beavers' senior class tallied 114 wins over the course of their four years, a school record.

Wiese will now await the WNBA Draft, which will be held on April 13.
