The Beavers snapped an 11-game losing streak to the Bruins at Pauley Pavilion last year with an 86-82 victory on March 5. Stephen Thompson Jr. scored a then career-high 23 points, all in the second half, to lead the Beavers. Oregon State's other road wins in the series came in 1924, 1958, 1981, 1984, 1986, 1988 and 2003.

UCLA won the first matchup between the teams this season, 76-63, on Dec. 30 at Gill Coliseum when the Bruins were No. 2 in the nation. Lonzo Ball scored 23 points and TJ posted a double-double with 21 and 10 to lead UCLA. Thompson Jr. scored 25 for the Beavers, while Drew Eubanks added 18 points and nine boards.

Oregon State and UCLA have split the season series the past three years. The home team won both games in 2014 and 2015, while the road team took the victories in 2016.
