December 06, 2017 | Football
Oregon State associate athletic director for football Zach Nyborg has not been retained as the transition in coaching staffs continues for the Beavers.
Nyborg had been with OSU since Dec. of 2014 and oversaw many aspects of the football program, including roster management, team scheduling and travel, all aspects of the budget, and served as the primary liaison for all auxiliary groups within the department and the $42 million Valley Football Center expansion. He also served on the department's senior staff, the Strategic Planning Steering Committee, Facilities Master Plan Steering Committee and oversaw 40 football staff members and the 120 student-athletes that represent the Beavers' football program.
"I want to thank Zach for his contributions to Oregon State University," Beavers' Vice President and Director of Athletics Scott Barnes said. "Zach is a true professional in our industry and he was an integral part of our coach transition period over the last several weeks as well as our strategic and facilities planning efforts. I wish him well in his future endeavors."
In addition to his tenure at Oregon State, Nyborg served as the assistant athletic director/director of football operations at BYU (2014), as the director of football operations at Wisconsin (2013-14), as a graduate assistant coach at Utah State (2010-12) and as assistant football coach at Timpview High School in Utah (2008-09).
He is 2011 graduate of BYU with a bachelor's degree in business management and in 2015 earned his master's degree in health, physical education and recreation from Utah State.
