Beavers To Face St. John’s On Thanksgiving Day

THE GAME: Oregon State (2-1) opens the AdvoCare Invitational against St. John's (4-0) at 11 a.m. PT (2 p.m. ET) on Thursday at the HP Field House in Orlando, Fla.
The AdvoCare Invitational features 12 games over three days (Thursday, Friday and Sunday). The two teams that remain undefeated will face off in the championship game on Sunday at 6:30 p.m. PT (9:30 p.m. ET) on ESPN2.
The Beavers will play either Long Beach State or Missouri in the second game on Friday. The final game of the tourney will come against a team from the opposite side of the bracket, consisting of Marist, Nebraska, UCF and West Virginia.
TELEVISION: The game will be televised on ESPNU with Mike Morgan and Tim Welsh calling the action. It is available online only at this link.
RADIO: The game will air live on Beaver Sports Radio Network with Jon Warren calling the action. It can also be heard online at this link.

The Beavers won the first meeting, 57-45, and improved to 21-0 on Feb. 14, 1981 at Nassau Coliseum at Uniondale, New York. Steve Johnson scored a game-high 26 points, Mark Radford added 10 and Lester Conner finished with six points and seven rebounds for the Beavers. Bill Goodwin led the Red Storm with 14 points, while Wayne McKey had 12 and Kevin Williams chipped in 11.
St. John's evened the series with a 66-63 victory on Nov. 23, 2001 in the consolation semifinals of the Great Alaska Shootout in Anchorage. Philip Ricci and Adam Masten scored 15 points apiece to lead Oregon State. Anthony Glover had a double-double with 16 points and 10 rebounds to pace the Red Storm.
