Meet The Beavers: Mari Nishiura
October 05, 2017 | Women's Golf
Mari Nishiura had quite the start to her Oregon State golf career. While competing as an individual at the East West Match Play Challenge, she claimed the title with 1 up wins over Tzu Yu Chou of Iowa State on Monday and Kathy Lim of Michigan
Â
The Mililani, Hawai'i native has been in the Beavers' lineup in the two tournaments since.
Â
Her success should come as no surprise, as Nishiura posted the best scoring average (74.20) in University of Nevada history last year as a freshman. She made the decision to transfer to Oregon State for her sophomore season and should be a regular in the lineup for the next three years.
