Beavers Announce TV/Conference Schedules
September 21, 2016 | Women's Basketball
Oregon State will be televised 17 times, including an ESPNU game
CORVALLIS – The Oregon State women's basketball team will make 17 regular-season TV appearances, the team announced Thursday. The Beavers also released their Pac-12 Conference schedule, making their 2016-17 slate complete.
Oregon State's TV season is highlighted by an ESPNU appearance on Jan. 29, when the Beavers host Oregon in the Civil War. OSU was featured on ESPN2's Big Monday last year, notching a 67-44 win over Arizona State at Gill Coliseum.
The Beavers' TV debut will come on Nov. 22, when they play host to Marquette.
Oregon State will open Pac-12 play on December 30, when Washington State heads to Corvallis. Washington will visit Gill Coliseum on New Year's Day, as the Beavers ring in 2017 with a clash of 2016 Final Four teams.
OSU's first road game of league play will come in the Bay Area, as the Beavers make the trip to California on Jan. 6. They will follow that up by heading across the bay for a matchup with Stanford on Jan. 8. Oregon State will remain on the road for a Los Angeles swing on Jan. 13 and 15, as it heads to UCLA and USC, respectively.
Oregon State returns to Gill Coliseum on Jan. 20 to take on Utah. Colorado will visit Corvallis two days later for a 3 p.m. tip.
Civil War week begins in Eugene on Jan. 27, as the Beavers look to continue their recent dominance of the Ducks. That will lead up to the Jan. 29 matchup at Gill Coliseum on ESPNU.
Oregon State makes its trip to the Grand Canyon State Feb. 3 and 5, facing off with Arizona State and Arizona, respectively. The Beavers did not visit the Arizona schools last season.
USC and UCLA will make their trip to Corvallis on Feb. 10 and 12, before the Beavers head to Colorado and Utah on Feb. 17 and 19. Oregon State will wrap up Pac-12 play by taking on Stanford on Feb. 24 and Cal on Feb. 26.
The Pac-12 Tournament will run from March 2-5 at Key Arena in Seattle, Wash.
In addition to the TV and Pac-12 slates, the Beavers announced their exhibition matchup with Northwest Nazarene, which will be played on Nov. 5.
The Beavers are coming off a 2015-16 season that saw them make the first Final Four in program history. Along the way, Oregon State notched Pac-12 regular season and tournament titles, and set a school record with 32 victories.
