Beavers Announce Nonconference Home Slate

Oregon State will play seven home games
CORVALLIS – The Oregon State women's basketball team will play a program record seven nonconference home games in 2016-17, head coach Scott Rueck announced Wednesday, as the Beavers released their home schedule.
"Our non-conference schedule provides us an unprecedented number of home games in front of Beaver Nation," Rueck said. "It consists of dynamic teams who play a variety of styles that will help us prepare for the rigors of Pac-12 play. We have had an outstanding off-season and everyone is excited to get started. We can't wait to be back in Gill."
Oregon State will open the year by playing host to Lamar on Nov. 11, as the Lady Cardinals make their first ever trip to Corvallis. Idaho State will visit Gill on Nov. 14, as the Beavers look to continue their dominance over the Bengals, holding a 5-1 all-time series lead.
Portland will make the trip down I-5 on Nov. 18. Oregon State has topped the Pilots in three-straight seasons, including last year's 94-50 victory in the Rose City. Marquette visits Gill Coliseum on Nov. 22, as the teams compete in a rematch of 2015's OSU victory in Wisconsin.
The Southern Utah Thunderbirds will play the Beavers on Dec. 10, in the teams' first meeting since 2011. That game will be followed by UC Davis' trip to Gill Coliseum on Dec. 14, as the Beavers look to improve to 3-0 all-time against the Aggies.
Oregon State will close out nonconference action by hosting Arkansas Pine-Bluff on Dec. 27.
The Beavers are coming off a 2015-16 season that saw them make the first Final Four in program history. Along the way, Oregon State notched Pac-12 regular season and tournament titles, and set a school record with 32 victories.
Further announcements on the Beavers' 2016-17 schedule will be made at later dates, including television selections and Pac-12 conference schedule.
