Kathryn Lucchesi Joins Ideation Team

Kathryn Lucchesi (pronounced Lou-Casey) has been named Director of Social Media for Oregon State University Athletics, Beaver Vice President and Director of Athletics Todd Stansbury announced Wednesday.
Lucchesi is part of OSU's ground-breaking Athletics Ideation Team, an innovative in-house creative agency with the goal of increasing awareness about the Beavers' brand, teams, student-athletes, and coaches.
“As a college athletics veteran, a graduate of the esteemed Missouri School of Journalism, and a soon-to-be MBA holder, Kathryn brings an extraordinary pedigree to our team," OSU Associate Athletic Director for Ideation Russell Houghtaling said. “Her fit with our core values is enhanced by proven skills as a storyteller and a desire to empower OSU student-athletes to tell their stories."
Lucchesi arrives at OSU after serving as the multimedia director for the football program at the University of Missouri since 2009. She launched a website for former Tigers head football coach Gary Pinkel, created social media accounts, promoted brand awareness for the team, assisted in recruiting and supervised a student work force among other duties.
"I'm beyond excited to move to Corvallis and settle into the 'Best College Town' in the Pac-12,” Lucchesi said. "The Ideation Team is unlike anything else in college athletics, and I couldn't be more thankful for this opportunity. This is an exciting time at Oregon State and I look forward to what's next. #GoBeavs!"
Lucchesi also spent two years as an adjunct journalism professor at Missouri and for four years as a multimedia reporter, anchor and producer at KOMU-TV8 in Columbia, Mo.
She is a 2009 graduate of Missouri with a bachelor's degree in journalism and will complete her executive master's of business degree this spring.
