
Beavers Headed for 2nd-Round Matchup With Bonnies

THE GAME: The No. 6/6 Oregon State women's basketball team (29-4, 16-2 Pac-12) plays in the second round of the NCAA Tournament Sunday, as the Beavers play host to St. Bonaventure (24-7, 12-4 Atlantic-10) at 6 p.m..

NCAA TOURNAMENT HISTORY:
- This is the Beavers' eighth NCAA Tournament appearance, and their third-straight season making the Big Dance.
- Oregon State hosted the first two rounds at Gill Coliseum last year for the first time in program history. The Beavers were a 3-seed last season.
- The Beavers have never won more than one game in an NCAA Tournament.
- Oregon State made its only Sweet Sixteen appearance back in 1983, when the tournament only featured 32 teams.
- The Beavers' 2014 NCAA Tournament appearance snapped an 18-year drought. Oregon States' prior tournament appearance came back in 1996.
OREGON STATE QUICK HITTERS:
- Oregon State's 29 wins are a new school record. The previous mark was 27 victories, set last season.
- The Beavers have won 19 of their last 20 games.
- Oregon State is one of three teams in the nation with three 1,000-point scorers (Hamblin, Weisner, Wiese), joining Connecticut and Southern Illinois.
- Oregon State has been dominant in its 29 victories this season, holding one of the highest scoring margins in the nation at 16.2 points.
- The Beavers have controlled the glass this season, leading the nation in defensive rebounds per game (32.0) and sitting sixth in rebounding margin (11.8). California, Utah and Stanford are the only teams to out-rebound Oregon State in a game this year (1/15, 1/22, 2/26).
- Oregon State has also been one of the best shooting teams in the country, hitting 43.9 percent of its field goal attempts and 35.5 percent of its 3-pointers.
- Oregon State has recorded 190 assists its last 266 made baskets in its last nine games (71.4 percent).
- The Beavers are 24-0 this season when leading at halftime.
- Sydney Wiese (41.2 percent) and Jamie Weisner (40.8 percent) are the fourth and seventh best 3-point shooters in the nation, in terms of career 3-point percentage.
OREGON STATE DEFENSE:
- The Beavers have held 30 of their 33 opponents to under 40 percent shooting from the floor. Oregon State has also held 13 teams below 30 percent shooting this season.
- Oregon State leads the nation in field goal percentage defense at 31.3 percent.
FORTRESS GILL:
- Oregon State is 43-4 in its last 47 games at Gill Coliseum, dating back to the start of the 2013-14 season. Three of those four losses have come to ranked opponents (No. 14 Tennessee, 12/19/15; No. 19 Stanford, 2/26/15; No. 2 Notre Dame, 12/29/13).
- The Beavers have won 11-straight home games.
- Oregon State leads the Pac-12 in attendance with an average of 4,245 fans per game. That total is the highest in the conference by nearly 1,000.
- The Beavers have held opponents to 32.2 percent shooting at Gill Coliseum since the start of the 2013-14 season.
- Dec. 19's crowd of 8,223 vs. Tennessee was the second-highest in school history, trailing only the the Beavers' 1996 matchup with Stanford.

- Her two-point output in Friday's game marked her lowest scoring performance since she also scored two on Dec. 19, 2014 vs Southern Illinois.
- Is second in school history with 241 career 3-pointers, trailing only teammate Sydney Wiese.
- Seventh in the nation in career 3-point percentage.
CANADIAN HAMMER: Ruth Hamblin quick hitters
- Was named one of 10 finalists for the Senior CLASS Award
- Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Year for the second-straight season.
- Has earned All-Pac-12 honors two-straight years.
- Academic All-America First Team
- Pac-12 record-holder with 410 career blocks.
- Hamblin is the NCAA's active leader in career blocks, leading Breanna Stewart (395).
- Has at least one block in 31-straight games
- Is second in Oregon State history with 979 career rebounds, and needs 32 more to tie the school record.
- Is averaging 16.2 rebounds per contest over her last five games.
- Tied the Oregon State single-game record with 20 rebounds in the Pac-12 Championship game.
- Her 23-points and 20 rebounds in the Pac-12 title game gave her the third 20-20 game in Oregon State history, and the first since Natalia Mattick went for 25 points and 20 rebounds on Dec. 1 1990.
- Was part of a team of students that helped build a sounding rocket that was recently launched 21,750 feet into the air.

- All-Pac-12 for the third-straight season.
- Is one of 36 Pac-12 players to earn All-Conference honors three times in her career, and the third Beaver to do so (Felicia Ragland, Tanja Kostic).
- Already sits atop the Oregon State career record book in 3-pointers made (263) and 3-point percentage (41.2).
- Is currently eighth in Pac-12 history for career 3-pointers. Candice Wiggins (Stanford, 2005-08) owns the conference record with 295.
- Is fourth in the NCAA in career 3-point percentage among active players, and has the best percentage among players in the Power-5 conferences.

- Moved into 10th on Oregon State's career 3-pointers list on Friday.
- Made her first career start in the season-opener after serving as the team's “sixth player” last year.

- Has played in all 131 of Oregon State's games over the last four years, making 128 starts.

- Is averaging 3.4 assists per game when in the starting lineup.
- 21 of her 34 baskets this season have come from 3-point range.

- Scored 12 points on 5-for-7 shooting on Friday, her first double-digit performance since Feb. 12.
- Has played in all 33 games.
- Pac-12 Freshman Honorable Mention last season.
I AM SAM: Samantha Siegner Quick Hitters
- Has missed just two games over the course of her career, and has played all 33 games this season.
- Has played every position except point guard over the course of her career.
QUEEN OF THE HILL: Jen'Von'Ta Hill Quick Hitters
- Has a record of 127-11 over the course of her collegiate career, going 71-2 in two seasons at Hutchinson Community College and 56-9 in her time with the Beavers.
WHAT CAN BROWN DO FOR YOU: Breanna Brown Quick Hitters
- Has made the most of her playing time this year, averaging 15.7 points, 12.0 rebounds and 3.7 blocks per 40 minutes on the floor.
- Made her return to the Oregon State lineup this season after redshirting the 2014-15 season.
