
Haun sets pole vault mark

Portland, Ore. – Junior Helen Ann Haun (pictured) set a school record in the pole vault to lead an abbreviated team of Oregon State athletes at the House of Track High Performance Meet #4 on Friday.
Haun cleared 12 feet, 1.50 inches to better her school outdoor record of 12-0.50 and her indoor standard of 11-6.50. She placed third in the event.
Senior Sara Almen cleared 5-8.75 to win the high jump. Allison Jackson was fourth at 5-3 and Amy Hilger took fifth at 5-1.
Two Beavers also competed at the Bronco Invitational in Nampa, Idaho, on Friday. Junior Melissa Ausman took seventh in the weight throw in 52-4.75; Rachel Picknell was 12th at 46-9.50.
Next up for the Beavers is the Husky Classic, set for Feb. 12-13 at the Dempsey Indoor Center in Seattle.
