See You in Hillsboro Beaver Nation
February 19, 2016 | Football
For the first time since 2005, the Oregon State football team will hold a scrimmage in the Portland Metropolitan area Saturday, April 9. The first scrimmage of the spring practice session will begin at approximately Noon at Hillsboro Stadium.
The two-hour plus workout is open to the public with free admission. Further details regarding activities around the scrimmage will be announced in the near future.
“The football team's presence is part of our overall Athletics strategy to showcase our student-athletes, teams and programming in the Portland Metropolitan area,” OSU Vice President and Director of Athletics Todd Stansbury said. “We welcome all of Beaver Nation to join us for a preview of what has been a very good offseason for Coach (Gary) Andersen and the football team.”
Oregon State opens the 2016 spring practice session Monday, March 28 with this year's Spring Game Saturday, April 16 at 1 p.m. airing live on Pac-12 Networks from Reser Stadium. More information regarding fan activities at the Spring Game will be presented closer to the scrimmage date.
The 15-day spring practice session will conclude Thursday, April 21. All Saturday practices will be open to the public, which includes the fourth practice Saturday, April 2. If inclement weather or the Valley Football Center construction forces the team inside the Truax Center the practices will be closed to the public (check social and mainstream media for potential schedule changes).
