
Beavers compete at Husky Classic

Seattle, Wash. – The Oregon State track & Field team competed in two events on Friday on the first day of the Husky Classic at the Dempsey Indoor Center.
Sprinter Kara Hallock took 32nd in the 200 meters in 26.21. It was the sixth-best time in school history.
Freshman pole vaulter Gillette Field cleared 11-7.75, the No. 2 mark in school history. Sophomore Annie Sidor cleared 11-1.75. School-record holder Helen Ann Haun.
After Saturday's competition OSU is idle until the Feb. 26-27 Mountain Pacific Sports Federation championships, also at the Dempsey Indoor Center. That meet concludes the indoor season; the outdoor season begins March 19 at the Rose City Invitational in Portland, a three-way meet with Portland State and the University of Portland.
