Game notes
• Weather at game time was 57 degrees with rain, with winds 23 MPH from the south. A wind gust of 102 mph was measured at Mary's Peak, about 20 miles from the stadium.
• The game was televised by the Pac-12 Network. Jim Watson was the play-by-play announcer; Yogi Roth was the analyst and Cindy Brunson was the sideline reporter.
• It was the 21st game between the teams. Oregon State leads the series 11-9-1 and is 5-3-1 in Corvallis. Utah has won three straight in the series.
• Oregon State's game captains were Victor Bolden Jr., Caleb Saulo, Devin Chappell and Dustin Stanton. Utah's captains were
• Oregon State won the toss, elected to receive, and defended the north end zone.

• The Oregon State defense held Utah to 88 yards of offense in the second half after the Utes tallied 229 in the first half. Only 11 of those 88 yards came via receptions.
• Oregon State's first-quarter safety was the first safety against the Beavers since OSU had a punt blocked in the end zone against Arizona State on Nov. 3, 2012.
• OSU's next game is Oct. 22 at Washington, starting at 3:30 p.m. It will be televised by the Pac-12 Network. OSU's next home game is Oct. 29 against Washington State, at a time to be determined.
Oregon State Individual Notes
• Senior Victor Bolden Jr. now has at least one reception in 30 consecutive games.
• Senior offensive tackle Sean Harlow made his team-high 31st career start. Bolden made his 30th career start; senior offensive lineman Dustin Stanton made (24th) consecutive start, the longest such streak on the team.
• Tuli Wily Matagi made his first career start.
• Shemiah Unutoa-Whitson made his first career appearance for the Beavers.
• Brandon Arnold and Devin Chappell both notched their first career fumble recovery in the game.
• Darell Garretson's 37-yard third-quarter rush was the longest of his Oregon State career.
• Artavis Piece notched his first career touchdown in the third quarter, getting into the endzone on an 18-yard scamper.
• Caleb Saulo recorded his first career sack in the third quarter.
