Beavers Ranked No. 8/9

CORVALLIS – The Oregon State women's basketball team is ranked No. 8 in the WBCA Coaches' Poll and No. 9 in the AP rankings this week.
Oregon State is 16-3 on the season, and 7-1 in Pac-12 play. The Beavers notched a pair of wins over the weekend, sweeping the Mountain schools by earning a 62-53 win at Utah on Friday and a 61-47 win at Colorado on Sunday.
Senior Jamie Weisner led the Beavers with 23 points on Friday, and followed that up with a 14-point performance on Sunday, her 12th-straight double-digit scoring game. Fellow senior Ruth Hamblin set a season-high with eight blocks on Friday and came back with 20 points at Colorado on Sunday.
As a team, the Beavers lead the nation in field goal percentage defense and defensive rebounds per game.
Oregon State will return home Friday for a matchup with Arizona, before hosting ESPN2's Big Monday on Feb. 1 against No. 8 Arizona State.
