QUICKLY: Oregon State has defeated USC six consecutive times at Gill Coliseum, its longest home winning streak over the Trojans since reeling off 10 straight between 1975-1984 ... The Beavers went 1-1 against Top 25 teams at Gill Coliseum last season (defeated No. 7 Arizona, 58-56; lost to No. 9 Utah, 47-37) ... Oregon State is averaging fewer turnovers per game (11.9) than any team in the Pac-12 ... Gary Payton II leads the Pac-12 and is 13th in the nation in steals per game (2.35) ... Freshman Tres Tinkle got his first career start in the last game against UCLA ... Tinkle is 7-for-11 (63.6 percent) from beyond the arc the past four games ... Stephen Thompson Jr. has made at least one 3-pointer in seven consecutive games, the longest current streak on the team ... Oregon State has more steals than its opponent in four straight games ... In Pac-12 games, the Beavers are 2-0 when outrebounding their opponent, 0-4 when the opposition grabs more.
vs. USC: Oregon State and USC meet for the 132nd time in history with the Trojans leading the series, 68-63. The Beavers hold a 39-29 advantage in games played in Corvallis, including a streak of six straight wins at Gill Coliseum. Oregon State's longest home winning streak in the series is 10 games (1975 to 1984).
The Beavers have won eight of the last 12 meetings after dropping seven straight from 2005 to 2008.
The teams split the series last season with each winning at home. Oregon State got the victory, 59-55 on Jan. 24 at Gill Coliseum, before the Trojans won 68-55 on Feb. 14 at the Galen Center.
Gary Payton II had a double-double in Oregon State's win with 21 points and 10 rebounds. He sealed the victory with a steal in the final seconds. In USC's win, Langston Morris-Walker led the Beavers with 17 points, while Payton II (11), Daniel Gomis (10) and Malcolm Duvivier (10) all scored in double figures.
A WIN OVER THE TROJANS: If Oregon State defeats USC it will improve to 12-6 overall and 3-4 in Pac-12 play. It would also:
- Be just one game behind last season's record (13-5) through 18 games.
- Be the second-straight year Oregon State defeated a Top 25 team. The Beavers had lost nine straight games to Top 25 teams before last season's 58-56 win over No. 7 Arizona at Gill Coliseum.
- Be Oregon State's seventh-straight home win over USC.
