Bradford's Hudl Highlights
CORVALLIS, Ore. – Oregon State University head football coach Gary Andersen announced Monday that wide receiver Trevon Bradford (Oregon City, Ore./Oregon City HS) has signed a financial aid agreement to join the Beavers' program.
A three-star athlete by all of the major recruiting services, Bradford is considered among the top recruits from the state of Oregon.
“We are fired up to have Trevon as part of our Beaver football family,” head coach Gary Andersen said. “He is exactly what we are looking for as we build this program. He is a tough, great student-athlete who expects to succeed at a high level on and off the field and has a huge care factor for Oregon State University. Being here for spring football shows his commitment to academics and athletics.”
The 5-foot-11, 180-pound playmaker from Oregon City recorded 60 receptions for 1,176 yards and 19 touchdowns en route to Mt. Hood Conference Offensive Player of the Year and 6A first team all-state honors last fall for the Pioneers. As a junior in 2014, Bradford registered 980 receiving yards and 20 touchdowns earning first team all-league on both sides of the ball as well as second team all-state honors on offense and defense.
As a sophomore, Bradford earned first team all-league honors on offense and defense and earned second team honors as a defensive back as a freshman.
Last spring, Bradford, a three-sport athlete who has also earned two letters in basketball and three on the track, anchored the Pioneers' state champion 4x100-meter relay team and finished fifth at the state meet in the 100-meters.
Bradford, who will graduate from Oregon City High School at the end of the winter trimester, will arrive on campus in time to participate in the Beavers' spring practices, which are slated to begin March 28. Oregon State's Spring Game will take place April 16.
He becomes the seventh early signee (three junior college and four high school) for the 2016 recruiting class. Bradford will join fellow high school seniors Mason Moran (QB, Gilbert, Ariz.) and Shemar Smith (LB, Miami, Fla.) as well as LDS mission returnee Gus Lavaka (OL, Kearns, Utah). In addition, junior college transfers Timmy Hernandez (WR, Phoenix, Ariz.), Phillip Napoleon (DL, San Diego, Calif.) and Kyle White (RB, Montgomery, Ala.) have already arrived on campus for winter term.
The 2016 Signing Day Celebration is February 3. Registration for one of the highlights of the winter is open. For more information contact Our Beaver Nation at 541-737-2370.
