
Isaac Seumalo Returns to Outland Watch List

Oregon State University junior offensive guard Isaac Seumalo has been named to the Outland Trophy Watch List for the third consecutive year, it was announced Friday by the Football Writers Association of America. The Outland Trophy is presented to the nation's top interior lineman on either side of the ball.
The native of Corvallis missed the entire 2014 season after injuring his foot in the Hawai'i Bowl at the conclusion of the previous year. Seumalo has started 25 career games for the Beavers. He was a Pac-12 Conference second team honoree as a sophomore and honorable mention as a freshman. He also was a Freshman All-America selection in 2012.
Seumalo is the second Beaver offensive lineman to be included in a preseason national awards watch list. Senior Josh Mitchell is on the roster of the Rimington Award, presented to the top center in the country. OSU running back Storm Barrs-Woods is also a preseason honoree as a candidate for the Maxwell Award as the nation's top player.
Oregon State opens practice for the 2015 season Sat., Aug. 8 in preparation for the season opener Friday, Sept 4 vs. Weber State.
