
Beavers Rise to No. 9 in AP Poll

CORVALLIS – The Oregon State women's basketball team has moved up one spot in this week's Associated Press rankings, coming in at No. 9, the AP announced Monday. It is the 11th-straight week the Beavers have been ranked in the top-10 by the AP, dating back to Jan. 12 of the 2014-15 season.
The USA Today/WBCA Coaches' Poll will be released Tuesday. Oregon State takes on Portland at the Chiles Center tonight at 7 p.m. Fans are encouraged to make the trip up to Portland to help Turn the Chiles Center orange.
Oregon State opened the 2015-16 campaign with a 110-45 win over Longwood last Friday, recording the third-most points in school history in the victory. Senior Jamie Weisner led the way with 24 points on 9-for-11 shooting from the floor, the 16th 20-point game of her career.
The Beavers are coming off a season in-which they won the program's first ever Pac-12 title, setting a school record with 27 wins.
