SAMMAMISH, Wash. – Freshman Haley Nist fired a 1-over 73 on Wednesday, just a stroke off her best career round, to help the Oregon State women's golf team finish in ninth place at the Edean Ihlanfeldt Invitational.
The two-day tournament was shortened from 54 to 36 holes due to inclement weather on Tuesday that kept the field in the clubhouse for more than four hours. The Beavers finished their third tourney of the fall with a 40-over 303-313--616 at the par-72, 6,039-yard Sahalee Country Club, the site of the 1998 PGA Championship.
Host Washington ran away with the team title with a 5-under 571 and Husky SooBin Kim claimed medalist honors with an 8-under 136, nine strokes better than the closest competitor.
