• For the first time, Oregon State wore its #ReBeaved orange uniforms and orange chrome helmets. USC dressed in red pants, white jerseys and red helmets.
• Attendance for the game was 45,379, the largest ever for an Oregon State home game against USC.
Oregon State Team Notes
• Ryan Murphy's second-quarter interception return for a touchdown was Oregon State's third this season, the most for the Beavers in that category since 2007 when Derrick Doggett, Gerard Lawson and Joey LaRocque each returned picks for six. The 41-yard interception return is a season-high for the Beavers.
• The 17-point deficit Oregon State faced was its largest of the season, eclipsing the 13 points it was down to San Diego State with 1:55 left in the third quarter (27-14).
• Friday marked the second time this season Oregon State was held to a scoreless first quarter. The only other was the game against Stanford with a 0-0 first quarter.
• Sean Mannion's touchdown connection to Brandin Cooks was the 21st time the two have hooked up for a score in their careers.
• Cody Kessler's 71-yard touchdown pass to Marqise Lee in the first quarter was the second-longest play against the Beaver defense this season. San Diego State scored a touchdown on an 80-yard pass from Quinn Kaehler to Colin Lockett. Coupled with Nelson Agholor's 62-yard reception to start the third quarter, it was the first time a Beaver defense had allowed two plays of 60+ yards since Nov. 29, 2008 against Oregon.
• Javorius Allen's 52-yard touchdown run in the third quarter was the longest rush by an Oregon State opponent this season.
Oregon State Individual Notes
• Sean Mannion's second-quarter interception snapped a streak of 140 consecutive pass attempts without a pick. Matt Moore holds the school record in that department, attempting 182 passes without an interception in 2006.
• Brandin Cooks' 27-yard touchdown reception in the second quarter was his fifth TD grab of more than 20 yards this season. It was Sean Mannion's seventh touchdown pass this year of 20+ yards.
• Ryan Murphy's second-quarter interception return for a touchdown was the first of his career, his sixth career interception and third this season.
• Brandin Cooks' 29-yard rush in the third quarter was the longest of his career.
• Tyler Perry's 23-yard reception in the third quarter was a career long.
• Sean Mannion finished with 277 yards passing and now has 3,605 in 2013, moving into third place on OSU's single-season list. He now sits just 10 shy of tying Derek Anderson's single-season record of 3,615 yards in 2004.
• Mannion's one touchdown pass extended his own school record for passing touchdowns in a season to 31.
• Brandin Cooks caught 6 passes for 88 yards and 1 touchdown. He moved passed James Newson and Sammie Stroughter into third place on OSU's single-season receiving yards list, tied James Rodgers for single-season receptions (91) and extended his own school record for receiving touchdowns in a season (14) and career (22).
• Malik Gilmore caught game-high three passes for 39 yards, extending his career receptions to four.
• Terron Ward rushed for 53 yards, two shy of his season-high 55 yards against Colorado.
