OREGON STATE (2001-02): Marylyn is one of six returning letterwinners and figures to be a key component of this year's team.

(2000-01): • Marylyn played in eight tournaments as a freshman, including the Pac-10 Championships and the NCAA West Regional • Overcame a midseason rib injury before returning for the season's final three tournaments, when she tied for 31st at the Pac-10s and 25th at the NCAA West Regional • Best finish came in her first collegiate tournament when she tied for 19th at the OSU Shanico Invitational with a 231 • Career low came at the Pac-10 Championships when she carded an even-par 72

WOODHOUSE GROVE: • Marylyn played golf for the Ilkley Club team • Won the ladies K-Salver Championship three consecutive years prior to coming to Oregon State • Won the Yorkshire Girls Championship her senior season • Played netball for four years, and squash and tennis for one year.

PERSONAL: Born March 3, 1983 in Keighley, U.K.... daughter of Gordon and Lynn Brand; family includes sister Lizzie... majoring in Exercise and Sports Science... contemplating a career in professional golf... father is a professional golfer and was a member of the 1983 Ryder Cup team... enjoys tennis, working out, shopping, and socializing... favorite athlete is Sergio Garcia... biggest athletic thrill was winning the Yorkshire Girls Championship.
