TARZANA, Calif. - The Oregon State women's golf team shot a 28-over 316 on Tuesday in the final round of the Bruin Wave Invitational to move up a spot and finish in seventh place at the two-day, 54-hole tournament in Tarzana, Calif.
The Beavers finished the tournament with a 77-over 309-316-316--941 at the par-72, 6,131-yard El Caballero Country Club to record a top-10 finish in the 15-team field.
Junior Rachael Fischer and freshman Anica Yoo each finished with a 16-over 232 to finish in a tie for 17th and lead the Beavers, while senior Whitney French finished in a tie for 23rd with an 18-over 234.
Sophomore Seshia Telles shot a 27-over 243 and finished in a tie for 46th and sophomore Lauren Sewell finished in a tie for 60th with a 35-over 251.
The Beavers have three weeks off before competing at the Anuenue Spring Break Classic at the Kapalua Bay Course in Maui, Hawaii on Monday and Tuesday, March 26-27.
Pepperdine won the team title with a 39-over 903 and Christine Wong of San Diego State won medalist honors with a 3-over 219.
