SAMMAMISH, Wash. - Seshia Telles did it again. For the third time in as many tournaments this fall, the junior shot a 2-under 70 to help the Oregon State women's golf team move up two spots to eighth place at the 16-team Edean Ihlanfeldt Invitational on Tuesday.
Telles had five birdies and three bogeys at the par-72, 6,054-yard Sahalee Country Club and is tied for second overall through 36 holes of the three-day, 54-hole event with an even-par 144. It's her third subpar round this season, and sixth in her career, as she goes for her fifth top-10 finish as a Beaver on Wednesday.
As a team, Oregon State knocked 13 strokes off their opening round on Tuesday, finishing with a 14-over 302 to move from a tie for 10th place into sole eighth with a 41-over 617 and just two strokes back of San Jose State. Four teams are within 10 strokes of the Beavers with the final round slated for an 8 a.m. start.

Junior Lauren Sewell, sophomore Anica Yoo and freshman Chelsea Saelee all improved their second-round scores with Sewell and Yoo each posting a 5-over 77 and Saelee finishing with a 7-over 79. Saelee is tied for 48th with a 16-over 160, while Yoo is tied for 56th with a 17-over 161 and Sewell is in 62nd with a 19-over 163.
Senior Rachael Fischer had another solid round with a 6-over 78 and is the second-highest Oregon State player on the individual leaderboard with a 10-over 154 for a tie for 26th place. Her best career finish is a tie for 17th at last year's Bruin Wave Invitational.
Host Washington has an eight-stroke lead with a 10-over 586 and Husky SooBin Kim is strokes ahead of Telles and two other golfers with a 6-under 138.
The Beavers will start on the first hole at 8 a.m. on Wednesday and be paired with Oregon, UNLV and San Jose State with Sewell, Yoo, Saelee, Fischer and Telles going out in that order.
