Women's Golf Tied For 10th After Day One In Washington

Edean Ihlanfeldt Invitational - Day 1 Results 
SAMMAMISH, Wash. - The Oregon State women's golf is tied for 10th place after the first round of the 16-team Edean Ihlanfeldt Invitational that was played Monday in Sammamish, Wash.
The Beavers shot a 27-over 315 at the par-72, 6,054-yard Sahalee Country Club and were led by a 2-over 74 by junior Seshia Telles and a 4-over 76 by senior Rachael Fischer. Telles is tied for 11th overall and Fischer is tied for 25th with 36 holes left to play over the next two days.
Freshman Chelsea Saelee is tied for 59th with a 9-over 81, Anica Yoo is tied for 68th with a 12-over 84 and Lauren Sewell shot a 14-over 86 for a tie for 72nd.

"Today went very well for Rachael and Seshia," Oregon State head coach Risë Alexander said. "Both played well and fought hard on a difficult course. Anica and Lauren had uncharacteristic rounds succumbing to the difficulty of the golf course. We look forward to tomorrow and better play from Anica, Lauren and Chelsea. Mental toughness is a key for us for the rest of the season. We simply need to focus and play to our strengths and be conservative in appropriate places."
Host Washington leads the tournament with a 5-over 293 and features the only three players with subpar rounds, led by Cyd Okino who shot a 2-under 70.
The second round begins at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday and the final round on Wednesday begins at 8 a.m. Live scoring is available on golfstat.com.
