Track Finishes Well at Lewis & Clark Invitational

PORTLAND, Ore. - Sophomore Taylor Hunt ran a season-best time in the 800-meters as the Oregon State women's track team competed Saturday at the Lewis & Clark Invitational in Portland, Ore.
Hunt finished fourth overall in the 800 with a time of 2:18.15 which is a season high and about five seconds away from her career best time set last year. Fellow sophomore Lauren Graebner ran a career-best time of 2:23.36 in the event to finish eighth in her heat and 17th overall.
Freshman Erin Jones finished ninth in her heat of the 1,500, 11th overall, with a career-best time of 4:47.70 pacing the Beavers in the event. Emily Wheeler finished 11th in her heat and 13th overall with a career-best time of her own of 4:48.97.
Kristin Oenning tied her career-high in the high jump with a height of 5-03.75 to finish second in the event. She set her career-high previously this season at the San Francisco State Distance Carnival.
The Beavers will be back in action April 22-23 at the Oregon Relays at Heyward Field in Eugene, Ore.
