2008 Johnnie Rae suffered an ankle injury on the first day of practice to start the '08 season setting her behind her teammates from the very beginning. She earned exhibitions on balance beam and floor exercise by midseason. Johnnie Rae was thrust into the floor lineup at Cal State Fullerton at a moment's notice in what turned out to be her only competitive performance of the season.
