As a Senior (2003): Named the NCAA Woman of the Year for the state of Oregon... Scored a perfect 10.0 on bars at the Pac-10 Championships to claim of share of the title after placing in the top five on the event at the 2001 and 2002 conference championships... Was the fifth Beaver to receive a perfect score on bars and the fifth to win a Pac-10 title on the event... Earned a spot on the All-Pac-10 Team for the second year in a row... Scored a 9.90 or better on bars six times her senior year and won the event five times... Prior to her 10.0, she had a high score of 9.95 three times, including twice in 2003... Tied for 11th on bars in the final regular season national rankings... Honorable mention Pac-10 All-Academic Team selection... NACGC/W Scholastic All-American... Pac-10 Medal Winner.
As a Junior (2002): Earned first team All-American honors on bars, her only event... Scored 9.85 in the NCAA Championships preliminaries to earn All-American honors and qualify for the event finals... Scored 9.7875 in the finals to place 11th... Had a 9.90 or better seven times during the season and won the event four times... Scored a season-high 9.925 three times, including at the Pacific-10 Championships to tie for fourth... Named to the Pac-10 All-Conference Team on bars... Was named an honorable mention Pac-10 All-Academic selection.
As a Sophomore (2001): Ranked among the top 25 in the nation on bars... Scored a 9.90 or better seven times... Placed fifth with a 9.925 at the Pac-10 Championships... Had two victories on the event, both on the road – at Stanford (9.90) and at Arizona (career-high 9.95)... Just missed All-American honors with a team-best 9.85 on bars at the NCAA Championships for ninth place, one spot away from All-American status... Averaged 9.758 on the event, second best on the squad... Started off the season in the vault lineup as well, but she injured her knee on the event in the season opener at Michigan and did not compete on the event the rest of the year... Had to sit out two meets on bars as well because of the injury... Earned Pac-10 All-Academic honorable mention recognition.
As a Freshman (2000): Competed on bars in all 13 meets and averaged a 9.527 on that event... That average, however, is somewhat misleading... When she entered OSU, she was still rehabbing from ACL surgery... At the start of the season was still unable to perform a strong dismount, resulting in a low start value... Once she got her dismount back, her start value increased and her scores improved dramatically... Scored a 9.80 or better at four of the last six meets... Had a best of 9.925 against Utah to place first in that meet... Scored a 9.90 at the Pac-10 Championships... Her knee kept her from performing on any of the other events.
Pre-Oregon State: Level 10 gymnast out of Byers Gymnastics Center... Placed sixth on bars at the Level 10 Nationals in 1998... A knee injury kept her from getting a chance to compete at nationals in 1999... Was second in the all-around at the 1998 Level 10 Region 1 competition.
Personal: Born in Sacramento, California... Daughter of Joyce and Thomas Jillson... Has an older sister, Terry... Liberal studies major... Graduated from Galt High School, where she was an honor roll student... Chose OSU because of "the coaches and it's a beautiful town."
