AS A SENIOR (1999): Did not compete... Tore her left achilles tendon while warming up at Arizona in OSU's first meet of the year and missed the entire season... Was named an honorable mention Pacific-10 All-Academic pick... Voted Most Inspirational Gymnast by her teammates.
 
AS A JUNIOR (1998): Competed on beam in every meet and on floor in every meet but one... Also made the vault lineup twice and bars once... Placed first on beam in two different meets, both against BYU... Tied her career-high on beam with a 9.875 at the Shanico Inn-vitational... Her 9.675 average on beam was the team's second best on that event... Scored a season-best 9.65 on floor against Arizona... Vaulted for the first time in her collegiate career at the Pac-10 Championships and came away with a 9.65 score... Voted the team's Most Improved Gymnast by the coaches at the season's end... NACGC/W Scholastic All-American and Pac-10 All-Academic honorable mention.
AS A SOPHOMORE (1997): Scored a career-best 9.80 on bars in a dual meet against Utah... Competed on beam in every meet and on bars in all but one meet. 
AS A FRESHMAN (1996):  A beam specialist for the Beavers... Scored a career-high 9.875 in a dual meet with Stanford for first place... Tied for first on beam at the Cal meet, with a 9.825... Scored a 9.725 in the Super Six Finals at the NCAAs... Competed on beam in eight meets as a rookie.
PRE-OREGON STATE:  Signed with the Beavers in November of '94... Originally from Bucharest, moved to Boring, Oregon and graduated from Clackamas High School... Trained at the Oregon Gymnastics Academy in Portland under coaches Bob Ito and Anton Calderon... An all-arounder, was a member of the Romania Junior National Team... A two-time national champion on uneven bars for the Romania team... Top all-around score as a club gymnast was a 37.30 at the Riverside Classic... Recruited by many of the top gymnastics programs in the nation.
PERSONAL: Born in Bucharest, Romania... Daughter of Stancu and Lavinia Tistu... Has three sisters, Monica, Mihaela and Liliana... Married Josh Whisenhunt in July, 1999... Josh was a wrestler at OSU... Exercise and sport science major.
