- The game marked the second in a row delayed for the Beavers after OSU had a three-hour, 15-minute delay on Friday. Saturday's delay was one-hour, 15-minutes.
- The Beavers scored at least one run for the 114th consecutive game. OSU was last shut out on May 20, 2008 at Long Beach State, losing 10-0.
- Sam Gaviglio made his second career postseason start and his first in the month of June.
- The Beavers and the Gators met for the first time in school history.
- Andy Quiring hit his second home run of the season in the fifth inning. His first came on May 22 in a pinch-hit appearance at Arizona State.
