Men's Rowing Drops Decision to Cardinal on Sunday

REDWOOD SHORES, Calif. – The Oregon State men's rowing team competed in three different races this week as the second varsity and two freshman crews competed in the Windermere Cup Regatta in Seattle, Wash. on Saturday, while the varsity eight crew raced against Stanford on Sunday.
Both freshmen crews raced against the freshmen University of Washington crews. The first freshmen crew raced a tough race, coming in only two seconds after the second Washington boat.
In the second varsity race for the Erickson Cascade Cup, the Beavers came in third place to opponents Washington and Syracuse.
On Sunday, the varsity eight crew came in second place to Stanford in a tough race, dropping a 13-second decision to the Cardinal.
The Beavers race again on May 16 in the Pac-10 Championships in Rancho Cordova, Calif.
