CORVALLIS, Ore. (AP) - Chris Stephens scored 19 points and Angelo Tsagarakis added 18, all of them 3-pointers, as Oregon State dominated Division III Willamette 84-53 Friday night.
The Beavers (4-2), coming off a triple overtime 87-82 victory over Kansas State last Saturday, strung together back-to-back wins for the first time this season.
David Force led the Bearcats (4-3) with 10 points, and was the only Willamette scorer in double figures.
Tsagarakis was 6-for-7 from 3-point range, including a 3-pointer that put the Beavers up 62-37 in the second half.
The Bearcats stayed with Oregon State until midway through the first half, when Tsagarakis' 3-pointer put the Beavers ahead 17-12.
Oregon State extended its lead with a 13-3 run capped by Stephens' wide-open 3-pointer to take a 32-20 lead. The Beavers led 35-26 at the half.
Willamette shot just 29 percent from the floor, while the Beavers shot 52 percent.
The Bearcats won the last meeting with the Beavers, 64-54, back in 1951.
Oregon State was scheduled to get on an early morning flight Saturday for Hawaii, where they'll play the Warriors on Monday.
