The Oregon State women's golf team is tied for eighth Tuesday with a 622 after two rounds of the Kent Youel Invitational at the par-72 Kapolei Golf Course in Kapolei, Hawai'i after firing a morning first round of 308 and finishing the afternoon second round with a 314.
Senior Laura Skinner led the Beavers with a two-round total 8-over 152, which included a first-round 73, tying her season best. Laura is tied for 22nd after two rounds.
Senior Kelly Ferris started strong, carding a first-round 75, then finished the day with an 81, putting her in a tie for 35th.
Oklahoma leads Washington after two rounds with a two-round team score of 596, with the Huskies trailing by six strokes.
Washington's Paige MacKenzie is the individual leader after posting a 1-under 143, just three strokes ahead of Oklahoma's Lisa Meldrum going into the final round.
Sophomore and Hawai'i native Leah Whiting is tied for 47th with a 158.
Freshman Lindsay Eide posted a 159 and is tied for 52nd and junior Alex Lucio is one stroke behind her, tied for 57th.
The final round begins Wednesday at 7:30 a.m. with a shotgun start.
